John Wyatt Bonner collection of manuscripts, 1771-1965

This collection contains manuscripts assembled by John Wyatt Bonner; all pertain to Georgia history. Several manuscripts were given to Bonner by Telamon Cuyler and these were given to the Georgia Historical Society as a memorial to Cuyler. The manuscripts include a power of attorney to help settle a debt owed by Button Gwinnett, a letter to James Habersham concerning the will of Andrew Darling, a journal, in French, outlining the Siege of Savannah, and the personal correspondence of Bonner about the book collection at the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences.

John Houstoun (August 31, 1744 – July 20, 1796) was an American lawyer and statesman from Savannah, Georgia.
